1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and scripts, can also store or access information on a device. We use them to keep the website secure and working, remember choices and—only where permitted by your preferences—understand use or support advertising.
This policy should be read with our privacy policy.
2. Your choices
On your first visit, optional categories are off until you choose. “Reject all” keeps optional categories off; “Accept all” enables them; “Manage” lets you choose by category. You can change your choice at any time.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may stop login, forms, payment or other requested features from working. Your choice applies to this browser and device; you may need to choose again after clearing storage.
3. Necessary cookies and storage
These provide functions you request, maintain security, prevent fraud, manage sessions and remember your privacy choice. They cannot be switched off through our panel.
| Name/provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| pinpointwebsite_session / Pinpoint | Maintains your session, account login and secure page interactions. | Usually 2 hours of inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN / Pinpoint | Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| pp_consent cookie and local storage / Pinpoint | Records that a choice was made and stores the selected consent categories. | Up to 1 year |
| Stripe security and payment storage / Stripe | Fraud prevention, payment security and completion of a requested payment. | Varies by Stripe technology |
4. Analytics
If you consent, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visits and help us understand how people use the site. Reports help improve navigation, content and product discovery. Typical Google Analytics retention is up to two years, although configuration and Google’s technologies may change.
5. Functional
If enabled, storage may remember non-essential preferences or recent interactions for a more personalised experience. Some catalogue tools also use local storage—for example, date or filter preferences—until you clear it or the feature removes it.
6. Advertising
If you consent, Google consent signals permit advertising storage, ad measurement, user-data and personalisation features. These may help measure campaigns or personalise advertising. Advertising technologies are never treated as necessary and remain off when rejected.
7. Third-party services
Some requested features are supplied by third parties and may use their own cookies or device storage:
- Google provides Analytics, reCAPTCHA and the embedded location map. reCAPTCHA detects form abuse and Google Maps loads when the map is displayed.
- Stripe provides the secure embedded payment interface and fraud-prevention tools when you open a payment page.
Third-party names, cookies and durations can change. Their use is also governed by their own notices. We periodically review the technologies in use and update this information where necessary.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when technologies, suppliers or legal requirements change. Email sales@pinpoint.promo, call 020 8302 8008, or write to Pinpoint, Winston House, Maltings Mews, Sidcup, Kent DA15 7DG.
